Renowned for being home to some of the best jewellery artisans in the world, Bail has a global reputation for its talented silversmiths and high quality gold and silver.

A selection of our sterling silver designs are handmade by a small scale jewellery company in Celuk village, a traditional craft village located near Ubud, famously known as the ‘silver village’.  Each piece is carefully polished by hand.

The history of the village dates back several centuries with almost all of the households home to jeweller families who pass down age old techniques from generation to generation, developing artistic craftmanship of an exceptional level and preserving the villages cultural legacy.

Bali silversmiths are known for their intricate and delicate techniques and take pride in the work which goes into each piece.

The company provides artisans in the village a viable income to support their families and ensures ethical production practices by following government guidance on pay, working hours and safe working environments. They also actively participate in sustainability initiatives such as recycling programs, tree planting, and beach clean-ups. A portion of their sales is directed towards supporting disadvantaged residents which has a positive impact on the community. Each order they receive ensures that the ancient art of traditional silversmithing continues to be preserved for future generations.
